After high school, Nathaniel received a scholarship to play basketball for Lon Morris Junior College, in Jacksonville, Texas. After one season with the Bobcats as the starting point guard, Nathaniel made All-Conference.
For three years, while in college, Nathaniel volunteered as a basketball coach for The City of Fort Worth Parks and Recreation. Nathaniel was then awarded a scholarship to play basketball for the Langston University Lions, in Oklahoma. At Langston University, Nathaniel was named 1st Team, Red River Athletic Conference, and received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology.
In 2005, Nathaniel returned back to his community and became a Freshman Coach at his High School Alma Mater. After 3 years of coaching the freshman squad, Nathaniel was moved to the Junior Varsity team, and also became an Assistant Varsity Coach for the Poly Parrots. Nathaniel had been coaching at Poly High School for 7 years, and feels blessed to be able to give back to the community where he was raised.
