Krystal Austin is in her first year as an assistant basketball coach in the Texas Express Basketball Club. Before coming to this brilliant club, she was the freshmen girl’s basketball and track coach at Nimitz High School in Irving, TX.
She played basketball at Greenwood High School where she lettered Varsity all four years. During high school she played softball as well and earned medals in National Softball Championship. She went on to play at Tougaloo College in Jackson, MS as a shooting guard. While there, her team had a record of 30-6.
Coach Austin has a bachelor’s degree in English and master’s degree in behavior from University of Cincinnati. She is super excited to coach the game she truly loves.
Coaching philosophy: I am always open to new ideas while combining past experiences to provide guidance to my athletes. I hope to enhance and elevate their leadership skills and work ethic to create lifelong individuals on and off the court.
