Coach Lanham was born and raised in Stephenville, Texas and graduated from Stephenville High School in 2010. There he was a 2 year lettermen in basketball for the Yellow Jackets. At Stephenville he received Second Team All-District honors two years in a row. He was selected to play in the DFW Metroplex All-Star game following his senior season. Coach Lanham also earned MVP and Top Assists accolades his senior season at Stephenville High School.
After High School, Coach Lanham attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology. While at Texas A&M he was a student assistant for the Men’s basketball program. He got to learn under the likes of Billy Kennedy (Texas A&M), Kyle Keller (SFA), and Glynn Cyprien (Memphis Grizzlies).
After graduating from Texas A&M, he spent a year and a half at McCullough Jr. High. At McCullough he was in charge of the 7
th grade “A” team. He also assisted with The Woodlands High School basketball team. This included leading the freshmen group to a 2
nd place finish at the Katy ISD tournament.
After spending time in Houston, Coach Lanham made his way to the DFW area. Coach Lanham is now currently serving as the Varsity Assistant at Azle High School. In his first season with the Hornets, Coach Lanham led the JV squad to a 15-10 record, as well as a Bowie Tournament Championship.
Coach Lanham lives in Fort Worth, Texas. Some of his hobbies include coaching, A&M basketball & football games, playing basketball, working out, and reading. He is also an active member of THSCA, as well as TABC. In the summer he enjoys working the Dallas Mavs & Texas A&M basketball camps.
