Jason Porostovsky

Coach P. played high school basketball at Whitehouse HS in the 90’s earning district MVP and continued his playing career in college at TJC and Hardin Simmons.  

He started his coaching career in McKinney Texas coaching the JV team.  Later he moved on to Fort Worth Paschal where he coached for 5 years also serving as the JV coach.  He spent one year at University of Texas at Arlington as an assistant helping them reach their only NCAA tournament appearance in school history.  

 The last 14 years Coach P. has been the head coach at Brewer High School making the playoffs 10 years in a row.   Coach P. enjoys seeing kids improve at the game of basketball through hard work, dedication, and determination.  Coach P. thinks basketball is an easy game to understand but a difficult game to master.

Skills and mental toughness are the cores at which he believes will give you an opportunity to improve at this game.   Coach P is married to Tammy and has one daughter named MJ who is the joy of his life.  You will see her running around the gym at all events.
