Jaimie Kadlecek started as the graduate assistant of the St. Edward’s University women’s basketball team in 2015. In her first season the team made a historic run to the Heartland Conference Women’s Basketball Championship, where the team lost to eventual national champion Lubbock Christian.
Kadlecek joined the Hilltopper staff after lettering two seasons under head coach J.J. Riehl at St. Edward's. In her junior year, Kadlecek’s gained fame late in the season when she scored nine points in the overtime victory against St. Mary’s in the Heartland Conference championship.
Kadlecek lettered playing women's basketball all four years at Smithville High School. She averaged 14.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game during her senior season. Kadlecek also recorded a total of 80 assists and 80 steals during the 2010-11 season. Kadlecek was named to the TABC All-State Class 3A team in her final season at Smithville and was awarded Most Valuable Player of the 2011 All-Bastrop County team.
Kadlecek graduated from St. Edwards with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2015 and is currently pursuing a master ‘s degree in Leadership in Science and Change.
