Deven Jacobs

Deven Denman-Jacobs grew up in the HEB area and graduated with honors from Trinity High School in 1999.   At Trinity, she was a standout player and a three year varsity letterman.  In high school, Deven was a very versatile player who had the height and strength to play inside, but also possessed the court vision and ball handling skills necessary to play out on the perimeter. 

She was one of the top three point shooters in district 6-5A both her Junior and Senior years.  After earning many accolades in high school, which included Mike Doocy’s Scholar Athlete, she decided to forgo a basketball scholarship to the Naval Academy to pursue her other career interest.  Through her coaching experiences with both the Aledo Lions Youth Association and other select teams, she continues to stay connected to her passion for basketball. Deven is very excited to begin another season here with the Texas Express family and share both her knowledge and passion for the game with the players she will be working with.
