DeAndre is a native of Longview, Texas, and a graduate of Longview High School. While at Longview he was a 4-year varsity letterman. He was Junior High Head Boys’ basketball coach and Varsity Boy’s Assistant Coach at Covenant School Dallas (2017-2020). In 2020-2021 DeAndre led St. Mary's Varsity girls to the playoffs while maintaining the Varsity boys being runner up in district play.
DeAndre earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Kinesiology/Physical Education from Dallas Baptist University. DeAndre served as President of the Kinesiology club during the 2016-2017 school year as well as volunteering in International Conversation and served roughly one thousand hours of volunteer work at Mission Arlington (2015-2017). Outside of DBU, DeAndre interned with Grand Prairie ISD, Turning Point Christian Academy in Desoto Texas, Batter’s Cave of Arlington, Dallas Thunder Homeschool Basketball Organization, Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes Homeschool Basketball Organization.
Under Dallas Thunder organization, DeAndre was the Assistant Head Boys Basketball Coach under the great late Doyle Moncrief. DeAndre also had the chance of a lifetime to learn from the brother of Doyle, NBA Hall of Famer Sidney Moncrief. DeAndre won his first State championship in the Homeschool arena with Dallas Thunder organization. That same season, DeAndre served as the Head Coach of the National All-Star game that took place at Missouri State University.
Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes (TACA) was another great place for DeAndre as he led the first year Varsity team to a district championship as well as being the Assistant Head Basketball Coach to Coach Moncrief. DeAndre went on to coach at Covenant School Dallas where he went 12-2 his first season and 11-3 the following year winning district and Coach of the year. He enjoys coaching basketball, reading, and spending time with his family.
DeAndre is a serious advocate for joy in God through Jesus Christ at any cost!
