Damien Mobley

Damien Mobley is in his sixteenth year as a Physical Education Teacher and his first year as the Boys Athletic Coordinator here at AA Waxahachie. Damien comes to us with over 20 years of basketball coaching experience.

He received undergraduate degree in Health/Human performance and graduate degree in counseling from Prairie View A&M Univ. in Prairie View, Texas. Damien has coached basketball  in various school district across Texas and has run his own AAU girls basketball program for the last nine years. .

He has worked in Dallas, and Waxahachie, and Ector County ISD. Coach Mobley won three Texas High School state basketball championships at Dallas Madison HS. Coach Mobley has a true passion for kids and strives to see them smile each and every day. Coach Mobley describes his teaching and coaching philosophies with two of his favorite quotes “Players don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care” and “Hard work beats talent, when talent does not work hard”.  

Coach Mobley family consists of his wife Erica and their 4 children Kanesha(24), Damien(22), Dalis(17), Nia(16) and Cire(7). He looks forward to joining the Texas Express family.
