Coach Cecil Cannon brings over 35 years of experience in teaching and coaching in both public and private schools. He worked for twenty nine years in the Keller and HEB Independent School Districts. His highlights include 10 years as the freshmen coach in the L.D. Bell High School system and eight years as a head boys' junior varsity and assistant varsity basketball coach at Keller High School.
After retiring from the public school system, Cecil began a successful career in private school education that included four years at Gateway Private School in Arlington, Texas where he served as the Athletic Director and Head Boys' and Girls' basketball coach. In addition to Gateway, coach Cannon served two years as a boys' varsity assistant at Grapevine Faith High School. He currently coaches at Nolan Catholic High School as the head girls' junior varsity and assistant girls' varsity basketball coach.
Coach Cannon enjoys working with high school girls because he believes they are open to learning, work hard, and are focused on learning fundamentals. Coach Cannon graduated from TCU with BS Degrees in Health, Physical Education, and History.
