Britney is from Mexia, Texas and attended Mexia High School where she was a 4 year letterman in Basketball. After high school, she received an athletic scholarship to play at Navarro College where she graduated with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
After her junior college she attended The University of Texas at Arlington from 2008-2011 & graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology. She started her coaching career at the Episcopal School of Dallas as an 8
th grade girls’ basketball in 2011. She also coached with Texas Express Elite in 2011 under coaches Gregory Mckinney & David Jones.
She is currently a Special Education teacher & 7th grade volleyball & basketball coach for DeSoto ISD. Prior to coming to DeSoto ISD, she coached JV Volleyball, Basketball & Track for four years at Mexia High School. While at Mexia, she was the lead varsity assistant for Volleyball and Basketball. During her tenure at Mexia High School, she was fortunate enough to be a part of the first ever Girls’ Basketball State Championship in 2013.
Britney believes that coaching is not only her passion but her calling from God. She has played basketball and studied the game for her entire life and she enjoys being a role model while influencing for good the lives of the players she coaches. She also enjoys the process of enhancing players basketball IQ and
developing the skills of the players she touches in orde to assist them in becoming successful at the sport.
