Austin was born and raised in Dallas Texas. He began playing youth basketball at an early age and developed a passion for the game. He played his high school basketball at West Mesquite High where he graduated in 2014.
After his high school playing experience, he went on to play collegiately at McMurry University in Abilene, TX. After graduating college, he began sharing the knowledge he aquired through coaching youth basketball. His passion for assisting a player's skill devlopment is a what he views as one of the most rewarding parts of coaching. When you observe a player perform skills and techniques you have taught them, and applying it into a game situration, gives one a sense of joy knowing that you were a part of the maturation process. He firmly believes that coaching is one of best and most rewarding “jobs” in the world.
His previous coaching stops were in west Texas at Abernathy high school where he served as the varsity first assistant and defensive coordinator. His role played a big part in Abernathy reaching the regional tournament. He currently serves as the head Freshman coach as well as a Junior Varsity and Varsity assistant coach at Azle High School. Coach Denmon looks forward to being a part of the Texas Express program.
